Sparta head the table after 3rd round
As expected, Sparta beat Zlín at Letna, but Plzeň, Boleslav and Liberec dropped points while Jablonec went down to Jihlava. Only Liberec and Sparta remain unbeaten so far this season.
In the
battle of the Škoda brothers, Michal came out on top as Brno beat Slavia
1:0. The only goal of the game came in 28th
minute when Důrazný
beat Slavia keeper Berkovec to slot the ball into an empty net. Slavia and Baník are bottom of the league
with a point each.
In their match against Teplice, Příbram found themselves 2:0 up going into the break thanks to a goal from Rezek and a penalty from Bednář. However, Teplice struck back in the second-half with two goals from Fillo. Příbram grabbed the winner in 71th minute through Hnaníček. Příbram are now second in the league.
After their loss in the last round to Zlín, Bohemians faced the other newcomers Olomouc. Bohemians took the lead in 13th minute through Vašíček, but Olomouc equalised in 25th minute through Šmid to see both teams walk away with a point each.
In Ostrava, Baník found themselves 2:0 up in the first 30 minutes of their game against Boleslav. Kouřil pulled one back for Boleslav before the break with Skalák levelling the match at 2:2 early in the second-half.
Viktoria also dropped points in their match against Slovácko. Hořava gave Plzeň the lead mid way through the first-half, but Slovácko levelled the score in the final minutes of the half through Došek. Daníček then put Slovácko in front in 75th minute, but Plzeň grabbed the equaliser two minutes later with a goal from Ďuriš.
At Letna, Sparta were too strong for Zlín, beating their opponents 3:0. Dočkal converted two penalties in the first-half, with Lafata adding their third in 74th minute with his 160th league goal.
Jablonec surprisingly went down 1:0 in their match against Jihlava, the only goal of the game coming in 17th minute from Jungr.
The final match of the round saw Slovan face Dukla. Liberec took the lead towards the end of the first-half with a goal from Šural. However, in the second-half, Dukla equalised from the penalty spot through Berger.
