Synot announced as new title partner for the Czech first league
The Czech first league is changing its title partner. From the 2014/15 season, the Gambrinus group will be replaced by SYNOT.
"I am delighted that the negotiations with such an important partner are drawing to a conclusion. In the SYNOT group, we gain an important partner that will significantly contribute to the development of the Czech top league and football in general. The length of the contract indicates that we want to build a long-term quality product," said Miroslav Pelta, President of the Czech Football Association.
Currently, legal teams from both sides are finalising the wording of the contract, which should be signed in the next few days. The contract will run for four years and is in the region of 100 million Czech crowns but neither party will comment on the specific value of the advertising partnership.
"The SYNOT International group is always looking for opportunities to enhance the SYNOT brand in every country in which it operates. When we learned that the title partner for the league was available, we believed this would give us the opportunity to expand our marketing and improve the visibility of the brand in the Czech Republic. In addition, the move fits in with the SYNOT group’s strategy of supporting the sports industry in different countries," said Neofytos Neofytou, the director of SYNOT International Limited.
"The arrival of a new general partner is a strong signal that the first football league has again taken a step in the right direction. SYNOT’s partnership with the football clubs will further strengthen their ability to play in top European competition," said Dušan Svoboda, President of the League Assembly.
