August summary: Zlín at the top, Uhrin out and Příbram sorrows

There have been five rounds played of the Epojisteni.cz league so far this season providing a surprise at the top of the table. Zlín are top with Sparta hot on their heels. Příbram are firmly bottom of the table after a miserable start to the season.

August summary: Zlín at the top, Uhrin out and Příbram sorrows

Zlin players are living the dream, having not lost a single match since the beginning of the season. They have won four and drawn one, giving them 13 points. They beat Liberec at home and overcame Plzeň away. Zlín also beat Slavia thanks to a last minute goal from Mešanovič.

The Moravians lead the way with 13 points with Sparta one point behind and Boleslav third. Next is Plzeň, who had a disastrous start to the season, drawing with Bohemians and losing to Zlín.

Even worse, however, is Slavia, who at the start of the season could only beat Příibram 3:0. They lost 3:1 to Plzeň after an uninspiring performance, after with coach Uhrin resigned. After negotiations, Slavia secured the services of Jaroslav Šilhavý.

There have also been coach changes at Boleslav and Příbram. Boleslav coach, Karel Jarolím, has taken over the National Team position while the departure of the Příbram coach is clearly related to their performance at the start of the season.

The Příbram players could not have had a worse start to the season. They failed to score in the first four rounds of the competition, and after losing to Slavia, relieved coach Martin Pulpit of his duties. He was replaced by former National Team coach Petr Rada. In his first match in charge, Rada saw his team go down 1:0 to Liberec. After five rounds, Příbram have zero points and have conceded ten goals.

Second from bottom are Jihlava, who have also failed to win so far this season, but have at least notched up two draws. Just ahead of them are Dukla and Liberec.
