After the break for the international matches, league starts again
After the international break, the league kicks off again with the match between Olomouc and Ostrava. Plzeň welcome Jihlava while Sparta take on Slovácko. Sunday sees the small derby between Dukla and Slavia.
The leaders Plzeň are in fine form at the moment. They have won their last eleven matches in a row and another win
on Saturday will set a new club record.
"We are going to try and continue the winning streak. The players are well aware that of the
responsibility and have proved their fighting spirit, especially in the match
with Liberec, where they proved their desire to be winners," said coach Karel
Krejčí.
"Jihlava can pose problems for us and have proved that they play better
away from home. They are a
well-disciplined team and have shown to be very dangerous on the break. They have nothing to lose and don’t give anything away for
free," added Krejčí.
Plzeň are six point clear of Sparta at the top of the table, but do have a game in hand with Dukla. "It will make a difference if Došek plays or not as he has proved very dangerous in attack," said coach Zdeněk Ščasný.
The most productive side in the league, Mladá Boleslav, face Příbram, who are currently struggling with their form, having taken four draws in their last seven home matches.
After their 2:0 defeat to Sparta in the quarter-finals of the MOL Cuo,
Liberec take on Bohemians 1905, who are unbeaten in their last seven home
matches. "I hope that we can turn
things around against Bohemians and get back to scoring form. We failed to score in our matches against
Slovácko and Plzeň and I want to see that change against Bohemians," said
Liberec coach Jindřich Trpišovský.
After their 3:1 defeat in the derby against Sparta, Slavia take on Prague
rivals Dukla. Slavia go into the match
as firm favourites, with Dukla having lost three out of their last four matches
without scoring a goal.
On Saturday, Brno travel to Teplice, where they have won four out of the last
five matches. Jablonec welcome Zlín, who have only won one match so far during
the spring season.
