    The 9th round of the SYNOT liga saw some interesting matches and a veritable goalfest with 29 goals being scored in the round. Ostrava notched up their first win of the season, and Sparta are still top the league ahead of Plzeň.

    The round kicked of with the duel between bottom of the league Ostrava and newcomers Olomouc. The only goal of the game came near the close from Machovec to give Baník their first win of the season.

    Fans saw twelve goals fall in three matches. Štěpán Vachoušek grabbed two goals for Teplice as they beat Brno 4:0. Boleslav beat Příbram by the same score, aided by two goals from Ondřej Zahustel. However, Jablonec could only manage a 2:2 draw against opponents Zlín. 

    Over 10,000 fans watched the small Prague derby between Slavia and Dukla, which ended in a 1:1 draw. Third place Liberec emerged 3:1 victors in their match against Bohemians.

    Sparta continued their run of good form as they thrashed Slovácko 4:0 to keep them top of the league ahead of Plzeň.

    Michal Ďuriš from Plzeň found the back of the net twice as they beat Jihlava 4:2. The Slovak striker has notched up eight goals so far this season.
