In the 10th round of the SYNOT liga, Plzeň beat rivals Teplice 1:0 thanks to a goal from Lukáš Hejda to keep them one point clear at the top of the table. Defending champions, Sparta, defeated Liberec 1:0 with a goal from Bořek Dočkal.

Sparta have the chance, for the first time in history, to do the treble should they win the Super Cup tomorrow. After winning both the league and the National Cup for only the second time in history, they could kick off the new season with a win in the Super Cup. Plzeň will be looking to avenge their defeat at the hands of Sparta in the NC.
Horváth extends contract in Plzeň for another year

Plzeň captain, Pavel Horváth, has signed a one year extension to his contract with Plzeň, which will see him remain at the club until June 2015. Goalkeeper Roman Pavlík has also negotiated an extension to his contract.
