Boleslav qualify for Europa liga, Lafata league top scorer

Mladá Boleslav beat Jihlava 3:0 in the last round of the SYNOT liga to finish fourth, and guarantee them a place in the second pre-qualification round of the Europa liga. David Lafata emerged as the league’s top scorer, beating out Milan Škoda from Slavia by one goal.

Boleslav needed to finish on at least as many points as Příbram to qualify for Europe next season.  Příbram found themselves leading twice in their match against Plzeň, but collapsed in the second-half, eventually losing the match 5:2.

In their match against Bohemains, Sparta could only manage a draw.  However, Sparta’s only goal from the game made him the league’s top striker, with Milan Škoda failing to find the back in their 3:1 loss to Slovácko.

Teplice went down 3:1 in their match against Hradec Králové while Liberec finished the season strong with a 5:1 win over České Budějovice.

Ostrava played out a 1:1 draw against Dukla, and Jablonec ran out 3:2 winners in their match against Brno.
