Plzeň and Jablonec take advantage of Sparta’s hesitation, Dynamo sack coach Urban

Friday’s match between Dukla and Liberec saw the return of Erich Brabec to top flight competition.  However, it is a match he will want to forget as his own goal contributed to Liberec’s 3:1 defeat by Dukla.

Slovácko came out on top in their match against Jihlava, with the only goal of the game being scored by Luboš Kalouda.  Baumit beat Bohemians 3:0, all goals coming in the second-half.

The highlight of the round was the clash between Baník and Sparta.  The game offered only two goals, and Sparta captain, David Lafata did have a chance six minutes from the end from the penalty spot but was unable to convert.

Plzeň were involved in a fight at Hradec Králové and found themselves behind twice in the match.  The winning goal was scored by František Rajtoral, and sees Plzěň move three points clear at the top ahead of Sparta.

The bottom of the table saw the clash between Dynamo and Brno.  Brno won the match 3:1 and resulted in the dismissal of Dynamo coach Luboš Urban.

Ex-Sparta player Roman Bednář helped Příbram to a surprising 2:0 victory over opponents Mldaá Boleslav.  In a great match between Slavia and Teplice, Roman Potočný grabbed two goals for Teplice with the match ending in a 2:2 draw.
