Mladá Boleslav keeper Diviš shuts out Teplice

Who turned in the best individual performance of 21st round of the Gambrinus liga? The winner would have to be Boleslav keeper Jakub Diviš, who kept a clean sheet against Teplice as they beat their rivals 1:0.

Mladá Boleslav keeper Diviš shuts out Teplice

With thirteen minutes to go in Monday’s match, Teplice were trailing 1:0.  Striker Nivaldo suddenly appeared at the back post and just as the Teplice fans started to celebrate, Diviš managed to tip the ball round the post at the last moment.  It was just one of several spectacular saves by the young goalkeeper that gave Boleslav a vital win.
Under new coach Karel Jarolím, Boleslav have so far not lost a match and have moved to third in the table.  This has been in part due to the performances of Diviš, who spent most of the autumn season on the bench.  Former first choice keeper Miroslav Miller has started in thirteen matches this season, keeping four clean sheets.
27-year-old Diviš has played in nine matches so far this season and since Jarolím became coach has started in all five matches.  Jarolím certainly does not regret his decision as he has seen Diviš concede only three goals since being part of the starting line-up under Jarolím.
